Symptom
You configured a customized background image using the parameter

login_screen_background_image = <URL to image>
as described in the SAP HANA Administration Guide, Section SAP HANA XS Administration Tools > SAP HANA XS Configuration Parameters but the image is not shown as background image for the formlogin page.

Due to a programming error the access to the package containing the ODATA service, which used to retrieve the login_screen_background_image requires authentication.

- SAP HANA database Revision 95 or SAP HANA database Revision 96
- Parameter xsengine.ini --> httpserver --> login_screen_background_image is set
Solution
Apply SAP HANA database Revision 97 or later.
