Reason and Prerequisites

You meet the prerequisites that are described in the business function documentation "SAP CRM HANA Live Reporting" (CRM_ANA_OR_ODATA).

You have installed SAP HANA Live for SAP CRM 1.0 and you have followed the administration guideline. In particular, the general sections at the beginning of the document are relevant, as well as the two CRM-specific sections "Installation Information for VDM - SAP HANA Analytics for CRM 1.0" with SAP Note 2008647 and "Security - Authorization for SAP HANA Live for SAP CRM".

Solution

In the following, we provide a step-by-step analysis for reducing errors when setting up SAP CRM HANA Live Reporting:

1. Data preview in SAP HANA Studio
   Proceed as follows:
   Log on to SAP HANA Studio with the ID of a user to that you are assigned as a responsible person in the CRM System Opportunities. (This is important to receive data.)
   - Open the view "OpportunityQuery" in the package "sap.hba.apps.crmhlq".
   - Execute a data preview.
   Result: In the result list, the system should display opportunities of the user from the CRM system.
   
   If an error occurs, check the following:
   - Does the user have read authorization for the schema '_SYS_BIC'
   - are the prerequisites met, in particular, from SAP Note 2008647
   
2. Display of the OData meta data in the browser
   
   Check the OData services in the browser by replacing the information about the server and the port in the following URLs respectively: https://<server>:<port>/sap/hba/apps/crmhlq/OpportunityQuery.xsodata/$metadata
   
   Note:
   The port for HTTPS is generally 43xx; for HTTP generally 80xx (xx = instance number of the SAP HANA installation, such as 00 or 02).
   Make sure that the URL references the OData service correctly.
   
   The result in the browser displays the meta data of the OData service.
   
   If an error occurs, check the following:
   - Does the user have read authorization for the schema "_SYS_BI"
   - is the user assigned to the role "sap.hba.apps.crmhlq.roles:crmhlq"
   
3. Availability of the application in the WebClient UI
   
   Call transaction "CRM_UI" and log on to the role "ANALYTICSPRO" in the WebClient UI.
   Result: the system should display links of SAP CRM HANA Live Report.
   
   If an error occurs:
   Check if the business function CRM_ANA_OR_ODATA is active.
   
4. Check the configuration of the SAP Web Dispatcher.
   
   Use the SAP Web Dispatcher URL to log on to the WebClient UI and create an SAP CRM HANA Live Report.
   Result: You should be able to save and restart the report in the system.
   
   If an error occurs, check the following:
   - the correct function of the SAP Web Dispatcher
   - are the paths mapped in accordance with the prerequisites
   - Customizing for SAP CRM HANA Live Reporting
