Symptom
It's required to attach a SAP HANA destination to a project of the BW
Modeling Tools, but no suitable SAP HANA destination was found. This
happens also even if the required SAP HANA destination is configured in
the SAP HANA Administration Console.

Reason and Prerequisites
You are using the BW Modeling Tools and want to attach a SAP HANA destination to the project.
Solution
For a project of the BW Modeling Tools, it's only supported to attach
a SAP HANA destination which corresponds to the SAP HANA DB used for
the BW instance. The BW Modeling Tools compares the information from the
BW application server (hostname/ IP address and instance number) with
the available SAP HANA destinations configured in the SAP HANA
Administration Console. Only SAP HANA configurations which match to the
BW database information will be listed in the selection dialog.
It's furthermore important to consider, that only SAP HANA destinations can be attached which have already the logged on state.
In case the message regarding no suitable SAP HANA destinations does appear, please check the error log in the SAP HANA Studio (Eclipse) regarding further details.
The database details used by the BW application server, can be determined by using the SAP-GUI. Log in to the BW instance and open the System Status dialog by selecting the menu entry System -> Status...
In the appearing dialog you will find the hostname and instance number in the section "Database Data". The instance number (2 digits) is added to the name field.
If the attachment problems cannot be solved and it's necessary to open a message, please attach the support.zip as mentioned in SAP note 1968525.
It's furthermore important to consider, that only SAP HANA destinations can be attached which have already the logged on state.
