1916845 - SBOP BI 4.x: How to use Repository Diagnostic Tool with Central Management Server repository stored in SAP HANA 1.0?

Symptom
  • SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.0 Business Intelligence Platform Administrator Guide, chapter 28.2.2 "Repository Diagnostic Tool Parameters" does not list SAP HANA type of driver
  • Unable to use SAP HANA type of driver of Repository Diagnostic Tool to connect to the Central Management Server (CMS) repository that is stored in SAP HANA 1.0
  • Command reposcan -help shows no HANA type of driver in its output under -dbdriver command-line argument
  • How to use Repository Diagnostic Tool with CMS repository that is stored in SAP HANA 1.0?


Environment
  • SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.x SP01
  • CMS Repository: SAP HANA 1.0 rev 62
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2


Reproducing the Issue
On SAP BusinessObjects BI Platform 4.x server go through the following steps:
  1. Launch command-line interpreter cmd.exe
  2. Execute command: reposcan -help
  3. See there is no HANA type of driver in the output under -dbdriver command-line argument


Cause
Help command of Repository Diagnostic Tool only shows partial supported list of drivers


Resolution
Use the correct HANA type of driver under -dbdriver command-line argument:
reposcan.exe -dbdriver newdbdatabasesubsystem -connect "UID=user;PWD=password;DSN=newdb_HANA;" -dbkey "[[pU0uEMMl.kKJPezTK002bw]]" -inputfrsdir "<BOE_INSTALL_DIR>\FileStore\Input" -outputfrsdir "<BOE_INSTALL_DIR>\FileStore\Output"
