Symptom

1. Function module RS2HANA_VIEW_HMOD_LIST is not available
2. Activation fails for Datastore Object with extended table and external SAP HANA view
3. External SAP HANA view for BW Query: missing functionality for currency conversion
4. External SAP HANA view for BW Query: missing functionality for unit conversion
5. External SAP HANA view for BW Query: resulting unit or currency cannot be selected using SQL
6. External SAP HANA view for BW Query: variables not supported for the selection of a key figure
7. External SAP HANA view for BW Query: not input ready variables are visible in the variable prompt while accessing the HANA view
8. External SAP HANA view: 1ROWCOUNT key figure is not correct
9. External SAP HANA view for BW Query: Query with characteristics with inactive hierarchy display are not supported

Solution

1. Function module RS2HANA_VIEW_HMOD_LIST is available
2. For SAPKW74008 and subsequent: Re-activate the Datastore Object; For SAPKW74005, SAPKW74006, SAPKW74007: Datastore Object with extended table and external SAP HANA view are not supported
3. The following currency translation options are now supported:

• Exchange rate from InfoObject
• Inverse exchange rate
• InfoObject for determining target currency
• Variable time reference based on Special InfoObject: to exact day, start/end of calendar year, start/end of calendar year/quarter, start/end of month, start/end of week

4. The following unit translation options are now supported:

• Use reference InfoObject
• Using reference InfoObject, if available, otherwise using central UOMs (T006)
• Using central Units of Measure (T006), if available, otherwise reference InfoObject
• InfoObject for determining Unit of Measure

5. The resulting unit or currency of a key figure with currency or unit conversion can be selected with the attribute <UID of the key figure>_UNIT of the SAP HANA view. Use transaction RS2HANA_ADMIN to repair the external SAP HANA view.
6. Variables with processing type manual input representing a single value and with default value can be used in selections for key figures (restricted key figures)
7. Only input ready variables are shown in the variables prompt while accessing the HANA view. Use transaction RS2HANA_ADMIN to repair the external SAP HANA view.
8. (advanced or classic) Datastore Objects, CompositeProvider and Master Data Provider have a key figure with technical name 1ROWCOUNT (Number of Records) which is also available in a BW Query based on such InfoProvider. If the corresponding HANA view has a measure 1ROWCOUNT, the calculated value is not correct. The 1ROWCOUNT key figure is only supported for the external HANA view of advanced Datastore Objects, CompositeProvider and BW Query based on advanced Datastore Object or CompositeProvider. HANA views for BW objects with no key figures a measure with name COUNT will be added to the HANA view which is not equivalent to 1ROWCOUNT. Use transaction RS2HANA_ADMIN to repair the external SAP HANA view
9. External SAP HANA view for a BW Query with characteristics with inactive hierarchy display are supported.
10. Use transaction RS2HANA_ADMIN to repair the external SAP HANA view of the BW Query

  Import Support Package 9 for SAP BW 7.40 (SAPKW74009) into your BW system. The Support Package will be available as soon as SAP Note 2030800 with the short text "Preliminary Version SAPBWNews NW BW 7.4 ABAP SP09", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.

In urgent cases you can use the correction instructions.

Before you use the correction instructions, make sure that you check SAP Note 1668882 for transaction SNOTE.

This SAP Note might already be available before the Support Package is released. In this case, however, the short text still contains the term "preliminary version".
