1937235 - IDT Hana Analytic View Doesn't Generate Objects From BW Labels

Symptom
When generating business layer universe objects IDT uses the BW technical names and not the user friendly labels on Hana Analytic View with a BW data source.

Environment
  • SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform (BI)
  • Information Design Tool (IDT)
  • Hana
  • SAP BW Netweaver

Reproducing the Issue
  1. Launch IDT
  2. Create a local project
  3. Select a relational connection in the Repository Resources to Hana, from a BW data source
  4. Hana has Information Models with Analytic Views
  5. Create a Connection Shortcut in the Local Project area
  6. Create a new single source Data Foundation
  7. Note that columns are listed by the BW Technical names
  8. Create a new Business Layer and auto generate the objects
  9. Technical names are selected for columns and not label names.

Cause
The metadata exposed for IDT is different from other applications such as Explorer.  IDT with Hanna is single source and uses the Hana connection to expose the Metadata.
When the BW data becomes a HANA View BI doesn't see BW metadata.  It only sources data from the HANA view.  It is required that the BW to HANA source expose the correct labels with a BW view, otherwise the information will not be available for IDT.  This exposure is triggered from BW.
The Feature is not available in BI 4.0

Resolution
This feature became available on Version 4.1.  It is required that the Hana Views are modeled  a BW VIEW.
