2169187 - SAP IQ proxy table runs queries in HANA cluster on master

Symptom

• SAP IQ sending all IQ proxy table queries to one server(master)  in HANA Cluster.

Environment

• HANA Cluster
• SAP IQ 16.x

Cause

• This was tracked under SA CR 782680 (IQ CR 782682).
• When reading data from  HANA table, from IQ, through proxy table (using HANAODBC class),  SAP IQ was not send prepare statements to HANA, so statement routing does not take place when IQ is connected to HANA. It was connecting  to one single server i.e to master within HANA landscape and execute the query there.

Resolution

• SA CR 782680 (IQ CR 782682)  fixed in SAP IQ 16 SP8.38 and above

          CR 782680: When using the HANAODBC remote server class, HANA statement routing would have not always occurred. This problem has now been fixed.
