The issue is present from SAP HANA DB Revision 71. From Revision 82 & 74.04 and later, the issue is fixed.
Due to a programming error, Enterprise Search queries may not return all rows that match a given filter condition.
As a technical prerequisite for the issue, the HANA Join Engine needs to be provided with the LOOKAHEAD option (which is done by Enterprise Search) and the intermediate join results need to have a specific size. That makes the error unlikely to happen.

Solution
Apply SAP HANA DB Revision 82 or 74.04
