Symptom
When Exploring an Information Space based on HANA Calculation View,
the values for a calculated measure shows different as when Exploring an
Information Space based off Analytic View.
In this case the Calculation View is constructed using the Analytic View as a Projection to Output in HANA Studio.
In this case the Calculation View is constructed using the Analytic View as a Projection to Output in HANA Studio.
Environment
SAP BusinessObjects Explorer
HANA 1.0 Rev. 31
HANA 1.0 Rev. 31
Reproducing the Issue
- In HANA Studio create an Analytic View that contains a Calculated measure as such x=y/z*100 (using your measures basic percentage calculation using existing measures)
- In Hana Studio create a Calculation View using the Analytic View from Step #1 using a Projection and select all members for Output
- In IDT create a new Relational Connection to the HANA system
- In Explorer create an Information Space based on the Analytic View and another one based on the Calculation View
- Explore both Spaces as a comparison and set chart measure to use the calculated measure.
- Add some filters to at least two facets and observe that some rollup values for the calculated measure in the table is different in the Information Space based on the Calculated View.
Cause
In HANA Studio when creating the Calculated View the calculated measure was added to the Measures folder in the right pane.
Resolution
In HANA Studio, open the Calculated View and remove the calculated
measure from the Measures folder and instead re-create the calculated
measure from scratch by right click on the Calculated Measures folder
and select New. Use the same formula as desired to match the one from
the Analytic View calculated measure.
