Symptom
After successfully register a HANA Database in the SLD, you cannot see the newly registered system in the Technical Systems view.
Environment
- SAP HANA Datababase 1.0 SP 04 and up
Reproducing the Issue
- Successfully register the SAP HANA Database in the SLD using either:
- sldreg, following the HANA Installation Guide with SAP HANA unified installer, page 46, chapter 2.3.7.5 Configuring a SAP HANA System to Connect to System Landscape Directory
(SLD) - RZ70 as described in SAP Note 1649323)
- Logon in the SLD system and enter link Technical Systems
- Try to search for the newly registered HANA Database system
Cause
Accordingly to SAP note 1781779, not all system types known to LMDB are shown in Technical Systems view in the SLD.
This is due to the fact that the SLD does not require these system types. The SLD is only an intermediate station on the way to the LMDB.
The purpose of Technical System view is to make easier to the users to browse the CIM Instances, for this reason the general system types (known at the time of development) were separated as different entries (System Types) in the Technical Systems view. This way, when the user specify some type as a result he will see only the systems of the selected type.
Every system type has a corresponding anchor key CIM Instance.
For example:
The Technical System Type HANA Database is not yet avaliable in the Technical Systems View.
This is due to the fact that the SLD does not require these system types. The SLD is only an intermediate station on the way to the LMDB.

Resolution
In order to see the newly created system in the SLD, you must follow these steps:
- Logon in the SLD and enter the CIM Instances link
*If the CIM Maintenance link is not availiable, go to Administration -> Content Maintenance
- You will find the HANA Database Systems in the CIM class SAP_HDBSystem or HANA Database System deppending on the SLD configuration
