2151683 - Lite optimization takes long time after migrating from non-HANA database to HANA –BPC NW 10/10.1

Symptom

After migrating from non-HANA database to HANA, lite optimization data package takes extremely long time to execute.

Environment

SAP Business planning and consolidation 10, version for SAP NetWeaver (BPC NW 10);
SAP Business planning and consolidation 10.1, version for SAP NetWeaver (BPC NW 10.1);

Reproducing the Issue

1. Migrate database of BPC system from non-HANA database to HANA.
2. Execute the lite optimization data package.
3. The package takes extremely long time to run.

Cause

BPC on HANA is not enabled.

Resolution

After migrating database to HANA, customer need to :

• Install HANABPC component, refer to note 1676242
• Enable HANA on BPC,refer to note 1743412
• Run program BPC_HANA_MIGRATE_FROM_10 to migrate environment to HANA BPC.
