2260787 - Serious liveCache problems with SAP HANA Revision 110

Symptom

Due to an error in SAP HANA Revision 110, crashes or inconsistencies may occur in the SAP HANA database in rare cases, if the integrated liveCache is used.

Reason and Prerequisites

You use SAP HANA Revision 110 with integrated liveCache (LCAPPS plug-in) for SCM 7.0 and APO.

Other SAP HANA revisions or MaxDB-based liveCaches are not affected by the problem. SAP HANA installations without liveCache, that is, without an installed LCAPPS plug-in, are not affected by the problem.

Solution

The error is corrected in SAP HANA Revision 111. Refrain from upgrading to SAP HANA Support Package Stack 11 before this revision is released. Do not use SAP HANA Revision 110 for live SCM or APO systems.
The LCAPPS plug-in for SAP HANA Revision 110 has been removed from the SAP Support Portal. As a result, an upgrade to this SAP HANA revision is no longer possible if you use the integrated liveCache.
If you do not require the integrated liveCache, especially if your SAP HANA database is not run for an SCM or APO system, you should uninstall the LCAPPS plug-in.
