2081405 - How to handle HANA Alert 66: ‘Storage snapshot is prepared’

Symptom

You receive HANA alert 'Storage snapshot is prepared' (Alert ID 66). The description in SAP HANA Studio is: 'The database was prepared for a storage snapshot for longer than <seconds> seconds.'

Environment

Instructions in this Knowledge Base Article have been created on a SAP HANA Database Revision 81 (Support Package Stack SPS08) and may differ in other revisions.

Cause

The user plans to create a storage snapshot, however he does not finish to confirm or to abandon it in time.

Resolution

Procedure

1. Check Alerts.
2. Monitor storage snapshot.
3. Confirm or abandon the storage snapshot.
