2109325 - Hana Studio Upgrade Fails

Symptom

The upgrade of a HANA Database fails while updating the SAP HANA Studio.

Environment

HANA Revision 82 and lower.

Reproducing the Issue

1. Run 'hdblcm' to upgrade all components of HANA.
2. HANA Client is upgraded successfully.
3. Update of HANA Studio fails with 'hdbinst is not an executable program'

4. Check the hdbinst_studio.log file for the follows errors:

Cause

The HANA Studio upgrade fails using 'hdbinst' due to a programming error. This issue has been resolved in revision 83 and higher.

Resolution

1. To resolve this issue it is recommended to perform a new installation of the HANA Studio by following the HANA Server Installation Guide.
