1967624 - External SAP HANA view: SAPKW74007 corrections

Symptom

1. The hierarchy authorizations are not correctly replicated for authorization-relevant characteristics.
2. In the case of authorization-relevant characteristics with namepace (for example, /SAP/IOBJ), the corresponding authorizations are not assigned to the SAP HANA user. As a result, an SAP HANA user who accesses the SAP HANA view does not see any of the data that he/she can see as a BW user.
3. When you activate the external SAP HANA view of a CompositeProvider in the Workspace Designer, the system issues the warning message "InfoObject <IOBJ> not supplied by all PartProviders" (RS2HANA_VIEW044).
4. External SAP HANA views for BW objects containing the characteristic 0MANDT cannot be accessed: User not authorized.
5. If you activate an InfoObject after setting the external SAP HANA view checkbox, the set character disappears after the activation.
6. Due to insufficient authorization, you cannot access the external SAP HANA view of a master data provider where the InfoObject is itself authorization-relevant.
7. The join schema of the external SAP HANA view of a master data provider can be simplified.
8. Runtime error AMDP_EXECUTION_FAILED, terminated program CL_RS2HANA_AUTH_PROC_ASSIGN
9. In transaction RSRV for the test "External SAP HANA View for BW Object": After you execute the repair function, the system can still display warning messages when you run the test again.
10. If you did not generate any external SAP HANA views before SAP HANA Revision 71, you still have to perform the migration steps described in SAP Note 1955345.

Solution

If you have not generated any external SAP HANA views before you implement this correction (for example, you have migrated the system from an older release to BW 7.40), you do not have to perform the following two steps:
1. After implementing the SAP Note, execute the report RS2HANA_AUTH_RUN with the following selections:

• All avail. InfoProviders
• All avail. users
• Force generation
• Create objects

2. If symptom 4), 6), or 7) occurs, activate the BW object again.

  Import Support Package 7 for SAP NetWeaver BW 7.40 (SAPKW74007) into your BW system. The Support Package is available when SAP Note 1955499 "SAPBWNews NW BW 7.4/ABAP SP07", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.

          
In urgent cases, you can implement the correction instructions as an advance correction.

You must first read SAP Note 1668882, which provides information about transaction SNOTE.

To provide information in advance, the SAP Notes mentioned above may already be available before the Support Package is released. In this case, the short text of the SAP Note contains the words "Preliminary version".
