2172175 - Customer cannot reset HANA system password through GRC

Symptom
Customer tries to reset the password for a HANA system. Although the e-mail with the password is correctly sent to the user, the password does not work on the HANA system.


Environment
GRC Access Control 10.0
GRC Access Control 10.1


Reproducing the Issue
In order to reproduce the issue, please follow the steps below:
  1. Enter on the end user logon;
  2. Click on "Reset Password";
  3. Select the HANA system, and click on "Submit";


Cause
Currently the GRC system is not extracting password policy from HANA and is using the generic password rule below.
Password must be:
  • Longer then 8 characters;
  • Have at least 1 upper case characters;
  • Have at least 1 number;


Resolution
Make sure your HANA system follows the policy below:
  • Longer then 8 characters;
  • Have at least 1 upper case characters;
  • Have at least 1 number;
