Symptom
When you are using HANA database, and try to run Light Optimization,
message "variant /CPMB/ROLL_UP skipped (not required for SAP HANA
database)" is displayed in the log.
Environment
SAP Business Planning and Consolidation 10.1, version for SAP NetWeaver
Reproducing the Issue
Run /CPMB/LIGHT_OPTIMIZE on HANA database
Cause
System Design for HANA database
Resolution
If you are using HANA database, you can choose to remove step: /CPMB/ROLL_UP from the process chain.
On the other hand, there is no issue if the step is not removed.
