When checking the Alerts tab in HANA Studio or Solution Manager, there is an alert called “1 new crashdump files(s) found on host <HOSTNAME>”.

Environment
This KBA is created based on:
- HANA 1.0 revision 74
- BW on HANA NW7.3 SP8
Cause
If a HANA process has crashed a CrashDump is written. This dump file
shows a lot of information that might be helpful to analyze the root
cause of the crash.

- Bugs
- Violations of technical limits by an application (e.g.: table growth beyond the limit of 2 billion records, rowstore size beyond technical limits)
Resolution
The crash dump file contains information about the
system status and limitations during the crash and can be evaluated to
find out the root causes of the crash.
