2081360 - How to handle HANA Alert 69: ‘Enablement of automatic log backup’

Symptom

You receive HANA alert ‘Enablement of automatic log backup’ (Alert ID 69). The description in SAP HANA Studio is: 'Automatic log backup is disabled'.

Environment

Instructions in this Knowledge Base Article have been created on a SAP HANA Database Revision 74 (Support Package Stack SPS07) and may differ in other revisions.

Cause

A configuration parameter in the HANA ini-files has been changed.

Resolution

Procedure

1. Reset parameter enable_auto_log_backup in file global.ini - persistence to its default value 'yes' or mark checkbox "Enable Automatic Log Backup" in the Backup editor of SAP HANA Studio.
