SAP Operational Process Intelligence and SAP HANA revisions. Thus, for a
particular SAP HANA revision, this SAP Note lists the corresponding SAP
Operational Process Intelligence revisions and/or support packages and
patches that can be used. It will be updated after every release of an
SAP HANA revision or SAP Operational Process Intelligence support
package or patch.

Compatibility between SAP HANA and SAP Operational Process Intelligence Revisions
While every effort is made to ensure that a given SAP Operational Process Intelligence SPS is compatible with all revisions of a corresonding SAP HANA SPS, due to technical constraints and changes this might not always be possible. The table below lists the current compatibility between SAP HANA and SAP Operational Process Intelligence with its three delivery units, Task Management on HANA, Workflow on HANA and Process Workspace.

SAP Operational Process Intelligence Maintenance Strategy
An SAP Operational Process Intelligence shipment can contain new features, bug-fixes and/or performance improvements depending on the type of shipment.
We distinguish between:
- SAP Operational Process Intelligence Support Package Stacks (SPS)
Represent a set of support packages for all components included in the respective SAP Operational Process Intelligence software release.
Customers must heed the minimum
requirements and dependencies between individual components and apply
the support packages specified in the SPS together. Therefore, a DVD
image is provided on SAP Service Marketplace for easy download and
installation. Typically, new usage scenarios or features for SAP
Operational Process Intelligence are introduced with an SPS.
At any point in time the latest two support packages stacks are available for download on SAP Service Marketplace.
- SAP Operational Process Intelligence Patches
Represent individual software corrections and updates available for SAP Operational Process Intelligence.
Patches are cumulative and strictly
downward compatible. They have to be downloaded from Service Marketplace
individually for all components, which are part of SAP Operational
Process Intelligence. When updating SAP Operational Process Intelligence
to a new patch level, all contained components have to be updated (Task
Management on HANA, Workflow on HANA and Process Workspace).
At any point in time the most recent patch for any support package is available for download on SAP Service Marketplace.
SAP Operation Process Intelligence used to follow a revision strategy
similar to SAP HANA. In the meantime, for the sake of simplicity, the
use of revision numbers has been discontinued for SAP Operational
