• HANA Attribute Views not Visible from Information Design Tool

Environment

• SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.0
• Information Design Tool
• HANA

Reproducing the Issue

1. Create an Attribute Views from HANA
2. Create a JDBC connection from Information Design Tool
3. Create a Data foundation or Business Layer
4. You can only see the Analytic and calculation views

Resolution

1. It is by design if you did not see Attribute views.  The attribute views are used with Analytic & calculation views.

See Also

Only analytical and calculation views are exposed and only those that are reporting enabled.  This is recommended by HANA and described in HANA catalog.
