1730345 - SAP HANA DB: Cube migration may lead to corrupted data

Symptom

You convert a BW InfoCube to an SAP HANA-optimized InfoCube and afterwards you have NULL values in the fact table of your InfoCube.

Reason and Prerequisites

Prerequisite: SAP HANA DB Revision 31 or previous
Reason: Due to a programming error it can happen that you get NULL values in your fact table when you convert your InfoCube to an SAP HANA-optimized InfoCube if all of the following actions have been executed:

• you have deleted requests in your fact table

• "Reclaim Version Space" (an db internal action to prepare cleanup of deleted requests)has been executed

• a delta merge of the fact table happened (is executed automatically by database on a regular basis)

Solution

Apply SAP HANA DB Revision 32 or later and rebuild the affected InfoCubes

Note: SAP note 1731569 provides a check to verify if one of your SAP HANA-optimized InfoCubes are affected by this issue
