1710028 - How to enable HANA connection when Explorer is installed on a separate node

Symptom
When creating a relational connection to HANA in Information Design  Tool (IDT), it does not show up in Manage Spaces under Sources when Explorer is not installed on the same node as SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform.

Environment
SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.0 SP02
SAP BusinessObjects Explorer 4.0 SP02

Reproducing the Issue
1. Create a new connection to HANA database in IDT
2. Log into Explorer and go to Manage Spaces and under Sources "SAP HANA appliance" is not visible.

Resolution
Try the following steps:
  1. Run the SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform install and select a Custom install and ONLY select Data Access section.
  2. Install the 64 bit HANA client
  3. Create a new folder <BO Install directory>\dataAccess\connectionServer\jdbc\drivers\newdb
  4. Copy the ngdbc.jar from Hana client install location, typical: C:\Program Files\sap\hdbclient to step 3 folder
  5. Copy ngdbc.jar also to C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\Explorer14.0\plugins\com.sap.ngdbc_1.0.0\lib  (replace the existing one)
  6. Restart Server Intelligence Agent
