Reason and Prerequisites

Reason:
Due to inefficient codes, the performance of HANA System Replication is slow.
This performance drop occurs in SP7 only in async mode. In SPS8, both (async/sync) mode are affected.
Prerequisites:

• Folllowing configurartions are set
  [communication] sslcryptoprovider = commoncrypto
  [system_replication] enable_ssl = on
  
• Async replication mode of all revisions of SPS7 or
  Async/Sync replication mode of earlier Revisions of Revision 85.1 of SPS8
  
  

Solution

Apply SAP HANA database Revision 91 later or Revision 85.1 later for SPS8
Remarks:

• Workaround:
  Use openssl instead of comoncrypto
  [communication] sslcryptoprovider = openssl
