Issues fixed in this Service Pack
IoT Workbench
  • You can now restore a connector from the IoT Workbench
  • IoT Core - Device Configuration parameters have been added to administration area
  • User interface is now compatible with SAP UI5 versions 1.20.6 and 1.22.3 (available in SAP HANA SP08)
  • User input validation has been improved
IoT Core - Device Configuration
  • The Configuration Service provides a means to customize the IoT Core
IoT Connector
  • IFM Device Adapter
    • The adapter can read counter values
    • The configuration UI contains fields for additional mapping IDs per value
  • HCP Network Module
    • Communication to the HCP endpoint has been improved by introducing sessions
    • A more elaborated error message handling has been introduced
  • Logging
    • Trace files are only populated with log entries if DEBUG mode is active
  • There is an additional shell script configure-connector.sh in the scripts folder that simplifies configuring the connector. It provides a wizard-like interface for editing the configuration.xml file
  • There is a README file in the connector folder that summarizes how to install, configure, and update the connector
  • There are new default values in the configuration.xml file
  • Bug fixes:
    • Upgrading the connector via APT was broken in SP02 (see corresponding SAP Note). This has been fixed in SP03.
    • The new Logging API introduced a memory leak which has been fixed in the current release
IoT Messaging
  • Error handling has been improved between messaging and the connector component
