1952493 - HANA Delivery Unit "HCO_BI_CONT_FI" import failed

Symptom

On a BW on HANA system, during updating BI content support package, the following error occurred:

Environment

• HANA database 1.0 SPS05 and lower
• BI_CONT 747 SPS06 and SPS07(SAPK-74706INBICONT & SAPK-74707INBICONT)

Reproducing the Issue

On a BW on HANA system, its HDB version is lower than SPS06( eg. HDB 1.00.58 ), upgrade the BI CONT to SPS06 from a lower support package level.

Cause

There are many changes between HANA SPS06 and SPS05. And there is a change to the metadata defintion of the HANA repository object "Delivery Unit". Metadata repository "version 12" is only available with HANA SPS06 onwards, while version 11 is with SPS05 onwards, therefore the HANA Delivery Unit couldn't be imported successfully on SPS05.

Resolution

1. Please upgrade HDB to the latest version, at least revision 1.00.60 according to the recommendation in SAP note 1600929.
2. Please apply SAP notes 1863480 and 1869631 in the BW system if not yet.

After 1 & 2 is done, please retry the import of BI_CONT 747 SPS06 again.
