Symptom
This note provides information on the SHINE(Sap Hana INteractive
Education) demo content.The demo application, delivered with SAP HANA in
a special delivery unit (DU), comes complete with sample data and
design-time developer objects for the application's database tables,
data views, stored procedures, OData, and user interface.

Getting SHINE

In the SAP Software Download Center, choose Software Downloads Support Packages and PatchesDownload ->A–Z Index, and choose the letter H->SAP HANA PLATFORM EDITION->SAP HANA PLATFORM EDIT. 1.0

Reason and Prerequisites
Prerequisites:
Before You Import HCO_DEMOCONTENT(SHINE) -
1. undeploy old version of HCO_DEMOCONTENT if installed, via the hana application lifecycle manager (HALM).
2. Import the latest version of HCO_DEMOCONTENT.
Note: In case there are no changes done to the original DU, the latest DU can be imported on top of the older one.
SHINE SP11
SAP HANA product version: works with SAP HANA Revision 110 and above.
SHINE SP10
SAP HANA product version: works with SAP HANA Revision 100 and above.
SHINE SP09
SAP HANA product version: works with SAP HANA Revision 90 and above.
Minimum HANA Studio version - 2.0.0
SHINE SP08
SAP HANA product version: works with SAP HANA REVISION 80 and above
Minimum HANA Studio version - 1.0.8000
SHINE SP07.4
SAP HANA product version: works with SAP HANA REVISION 72 and above
SHINE SP07.1
SAP HANA product version: works with SAP HANA REVISION 70 and above

(in case you are on Revision 70, you will have to import the DU up to 3 times)
Before You Import HCO_DEMOCONTENT(SHINE) -
1. undeploy old version of HCO_DEMOCONTENT if installed, via the hana application lifecycle manager (HALM).
2. Import the latest version of HCO_DEMOCONTENT.
Note: In case there are no changes done to the original DU, the latest DU can be imported on top of the older one.

Solution
Import Issues
1) In case you get errors like "A transaction rollback may have left the object in an inconsistent state." or "Dependent object not found: SqlScript; SAP_HANA_DEMO.sap.hana.democontent.epm.data::EPM.PO.Header: symbol not found" during import of the delivery note. Please follow note 2034208, undeploy the SHINE delivery unit and import the SHINE delivery unit again.
2) If the import of the fails due to errors like "sap.hana.democontent.epm.data::Util.textsView": annotation Search.defaultSearchElement : true must be defined at least once " and "sap.hana.democontent.epm.data::MD.productTexts": element "TEXT" cannot be used for snippets/highlighted -> column has neither a fulltext index nor is it of type TEXT”, please import the SHINE 10.2 DU where the SHINE code has been adapted as per the new annotations from the Enterprise Search.
Known issues with SHINE SP11.0
The SHINE XSUnit Test in SHINE SP11 is currently failing and the issue has been reported. If required a new patch will be released or the note will be updated.
Known issues with SHINE SP10.0
If you have used the unit test scenario with the SP09 version of Shine, the application generates the following package structure
tmp.unittest.<user>.sap.hana.democontent .... for each user who executed the unit tests.
Before upgrading to version SHINE SP10 you will need to delete all packages below tmp.unittest.<user>
This can be done in the SAP Web IDE editor via right-click on the respective package and chosing option "Force delete".
Known issues with SHINE SP09.0
1) In case you have updated SAP HANA Database from SP07/08 to SP09 with SHINE SP07/08 already installed, you will need to import SHINE SP09 twice for a successful deployment.
2) The option Reload Master Data in the Data Generator does not work properly. This will be fixed with SHINE SP09.1
For an immediate fix please edit file /sap/hana/democontent/epm/admin/DataGen.xsjs, line 32, and remove the entry ", 'EPM.Util.TimeDimension'" from the array tblNames.
Known issues with SHINE SP07.1
1) With the role sap.hana.democontent.epm.roles::User (User.hdbrole) assigned, you are not able to create a sales order in SO Worklist. Please add Object Privileges - SAP_HANA_DEMO with "Create Any" Rights to your user.
Known issues with SHINE SP07.0
1) If you are not able to view the data or edit models please follow either of the two solutions ( this is fixed with SHINE7.1)
a. For very Restrictive environments
1.For User Role add object _SYS_BIC with Select Authorization on Tab Object Privileges.
2.For Admin Role add REPOSITORY_REST with EXECUTE Authorization on Tab Object Privileges.
3.Maintain Analytic Privilege AP_SALES_ORDER and add the attributes views AT_BUYER,AT_PRODUCT and Calculation Views CV_SALES_ORDER_RANKING_AND_DISCOUNT_SQL and CV_SLAESORDER_RANKING_SQL.
b.For less restrictive environments add MODELLING Role to the User.
Limitations
1) Some charts do not get updated when working with Internet Explorer. ( Please use Chrome or FireFox for the same )
2) Product names will only be visible if the browser language is set to English. ( Please set English as browser Language )
