1917519 - 403 - Forbidden when logging into APP SQL CONNECTION CONFIGURATION

Symptom

403 - Forbidden
The server refused to fulfill the request

Looking in the XSEngine logs, the following message is shown:
XSRequestHandler RequestHandler.cpp(00413) : Request execution failed due to missing privileges.
XSRequestHandler RequestHandler.cpp(00587) : Sent Response with status 403 (rc=2034)
NOTE: SAP Lumira, server version for SAP HANA and SAP Lumira Cloud are being retired and will no longer receive new feature investments.

Environment

• SAP HANA 1.0
• SQL Connection Configuration (SQLCC)

Reproducing the Issue

1. Browse to http://<host>:80<instance>/sap/hana/xs/sqlcc/  or http://<host>:80<instance>/sap/hana/xs/admin  (Depending on your version)
2. Log in as SYSTEM user
3. Receive 403 - Forbidden error 

Cause

HANA User SYSTEM has not been granted Role sap.hana.xs.sqlcc::Administrator

Resolution

1. Start HANA Studio and connect to the HANA Server
2. Navigate to Security > Users
3. Open user SYSTEM
4. On the Granted Roles tab click the green + to add a role
5. Search for role sap.hana.xs.sqlcc::Administrator and add it
6. Click Deploy button to save the changes to the user
