1660237 - Is HANA supported by ODBC datastore in Data Service 4.0?

Symptom

In Data Service 4.0 User Guide, it says that it is not supported to use an ODBC datastore to define database HANA.

Environment

• SAP BusinessObjects Data Services XI4.0 Support Package 1 (DS 4.0 SP1)
• Hana 1.0

Reproducing the Issue

1. Download [SAP BusinessObjects Data Services Reference Guide](sbo401_ds_reference_en.pdf) document.
2. Under [Objects] > [Descriptions of data types] > [Datastore]> [Database datastores]> [ODBC], find the following:Use an ODBC datastore to define the following databases:
   • MySQL
   • Netezza
   • HP Neoview
3. The above content is not complete,  ODBC datastore could define HANA too.

Cause

This is a document error.

Resolution

HANA database could be defined in ODBC datastore too.
